Sydney's most delicious dinner show

How does the seating work?

Seating at the Honeycomb Club is strictly pre-allocated in the cabaret style (independent tables). The table plan is custom-created for every show, dependent on our guests.

Seating is a combination of low tables with restaurant chairs and high tables with barstools.

Tables are allocated according to the ticket type and the time of booking. The earlier you book, combined with the type of tickets you purchased, will determine your spot in the room. Seating is not according to a rigid area of the room and is not affected by arrival time.

The ideal seat is different for everyone. Some yearn for a quiet romantic corner, others thrive in the hustle and bustle of a bar seat. The "best" seat is really the one where you choose to enjoy yourself and appreciate your company the most.

FLOOR PLAN EXAMPLE:

Group Seating:

Usually, a table of 6 is the largest table our intimate room can accommodate.

  • Groups of six or fewer are always seated at the same table.
  • Groups larger than six are typically seated on neighbouring tables. Occasionally, a group of up to 9 people may be able to be seated together, although this is not always possible.

We always endeavour to keep groups as close as possible. To do this while maximising sightlines and serviceability, larger groups are typically seated on a combination of low and high tables. Find out more about booking a group here

Seating Allocation:

Our Seating Fairy assigns tables according to:
1. The order in which you booked.
2. Your ticket type.

We use a prioritisation system: tables are assigned according to prioritisation in relation to the other bookings, not confined to a designated area of the room.

Earlier bookings are always seated closer to the main stage or with a less impeeded view of the stage. Certain ticket types receive prioritisation in the seating plan over others. For example, "front VIP" guests are guaranteed front seating, no matter when the booking occurred.

On a quiet night, a show-only or last-minute booking may have excellent seats, while standard tickets may end up with front row seats.

Please note: All of our guests are equally adored by our floor staff, and service is the same for all ticket types.

We assure you our Seating Fairy takes her sacred duty very seriously. The ticket types are prioritised in the approximate order.

VIP Front

  • These tickets are essentially the "front row" and will always be on low tables and dining chairs directly around the main stage or runway.
  • Our stage is small, so VIP tickets are only available in limited number. They are not available to groups larger than 6 people.
  • These tickets are a popular choice for romantic dates or important celebrations, because of the certainty in seating.

Drinker's Deluxe

  • Rarely seated at the absolute front, to ensure our waitstaff can provide table service throughout the show.
  • Typically seated on waiter accessible tables, one or two rows back from the stage, although this is highly dependent on the other bookings.
  • Larger groups may have a mixture of low and high tables to maximise visibility.

Standard Dinner + Show

  • This is our most common booking type. Seating varies substantially depending on the time of booking and the other bookings. Ranges from high tables with a fair but imperfect view, to low tables with a perfect view.
  • If you have special seating needs, please book in advance and/or let us know at the time of booking.
  • If excellent seats are important to you, please consider booking VIP tickets.

Companion Card

  • Always seated on low tables that are more accessible from the service lift side of the room. Can be booked in conjunction with other tickets.
  • Valid on a Friday or Sunday only as these nights tend to be quieter (in numbers and atmosphere) than Saturday and provide more seating flexibility.
  • Please inform us in advance if extra mobility assistance or special seating is required, for instance, if any person will be attending in a wheelchair.

Obstructed View Dinner + Show

  • Obstructed View tickets are released when our room is approaching capacity.
  • Ticket holders can expect a high probability of being seated at high tables.
  • Often, the majority of guests at the table will have a fair view; however, at least one person at your table will likely have a view substantially compromised by a pole or curtain. It is usually nothing a little seat shuffling can't fix.

Show-Only

  • Show-Only tickets are usually seated on high tables and bar stools furthest from the stage, and sometimes in the wings with a side view of the stage.
  • Guests may have parts of the stage substantially obscured by a pole pr curtain.
  • On quieter nights, Show-Only tickets can, on occasion, receive seats with a clear view. Feel free to roll the dice!
  • We are a dinner + show experience, thus these tickets receive the lowest priority in the seating plan.
